Taking matters into our own hands

Well there is alot to tell from my last post. I had mentioned that we might have to take matters into our own hands in order to get our passports issued and by george we did!!! First, a good friend(also an adoptive parent)was able to find us and the other family who is waiting the email address of a person in New Delhi who you can contact if your grievance has not been satified. I emailed the gentleman and got a response back the next morning!! He forwarded the email I sent to the Madurai passport office with a message attached to inform us of anything that was not complete. I call this progress!!! Secondly, our friend(who by the way is Indian)was able to contact someone by phone in India and tell them our situation. She gave them all of the passport numbers, when they were applied for, everything about the grievances, the whole nine yards!! She was able to find out that the police clearance that our status says they are waiting for was done JANUARY 21st and we STILL don't have a passport issued. This really burns my butt!! Our friend was able to get the email of a gentleman at the Madurai passport office and we were told to send another similar email to him. They said that if the status doesn't change to "being printed" by this Friday to call again. All of this took our friend about an hour to do. We keep asking "why couldn't our agency get this same information?" We were told that contacting these people may delay our cases but the way I see it we made tremendous gaines in just a day and a half. Keep the prayers coming....this will be THE WEEK!! I just feel it.
