3/5 NOC'S!!!

Hard to believe that it's been almost 3 months since I last posted. There has not really been any news until just recently. About a month ago the first NOC for the five waiting families from Grace Kennett was issued. Yesterday we found out that 2 more were issued!! Sorry to say we were not one of them. I'm so happy for some movement of our cases through CARA and I hope that the remaining 2 were issued yesterday at the weekly meeting. Then on to the courts for guardianship and I'm praying for this part to be quick. We have all waited way TOO long!! Would love to see Karuna home soon.

    As Thanksgiving is just two weeks away, wouldn't it be nice to have your NOC to give thanks for!

    My husband and I are hoping to begin this journey soon. We are also interested in adopting from India. We aren't quite ready to submit applications yet. As we've been looking in to the process in India I've heard from many people that because nonresident Indians are given preference it makes it very hard for Americans to adopt a child. What has your experience been regarding this? Also do you have a post with the biggest challenges you've faced? I'd love to hear them. Best of luck with your adorable son!
