Well we are finally getting our home study and I-800A to the CIS office for approval. We should be getting a letter from them soon to let us know when we need to be there for fingerprints. I've heard from other families that CIS approval usually takes 2-3 months. After we get that done we will OFFICIALLY accept Karuna's referral and then get his dossier ready to go to India. Then the BIG wait starts. It will go through the Indian courts for approval and his NOC(no objection certificate) will be issued. Then back to us for more signatures then guardianship, passport and then HOME!!! We still have a ways to go and I'm trying my best to get everything signed and back to the right people as soon as I can.
We are still waiting on our DVD of Karuna that was taken by our agency representative when she visited him last month. I go to the mailbox everyday in hopes of seeing it there, but nothing yet. We are all excited to see him and to hear his voice. I will be sure to post again when it comes and maybe get a few pictures that I can post on here.
